Ugh...Gavin refused to take a nap today. Tuesdays always stress me out because I try to get Gavin down for his nap at 12:30pm, so he'll get a good hour nap before I need to wake him up and head to NCSU for my meeting. Today REALLY stressed me out because after 40 minutes, Gavin won since I needed time to get ready for work, get the kids ready, etc. They go with me on Tuesday afternoons and they hang out with a babysitter while I'm in my staff meeting. It works out well because the students love to see the boys. Needless to say, he was grouchy tonight. Wow, was he grouchy. He had the refrigerator door open...I told him to close it...he looked at me with his arms crossed and said, "Oh yea??"
Ian was very helpful today because he understood the situation with Gavin. Thank you Ian! He even did a few minutes of "homework" with me today. He is pretty excited about heading off to kindergarten. We worked on writing numbers this morning. Another thing Ian is into these days are chapter books! We are reading our first chapter book and it's about San Francisco. He picked it out at the library last week because he remembers going there to see Maddy graduate and taking the boat to Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, the cable car ride, seeing Coit Tower and so on. What a memory! I wish we could read the whole book in one day because San Francisco brings back awesome memories for me!!!!!
