Saturday morning my mom picked up the boys and took them on a shopping spree. I only requested spring/summer pjs, but mom did not listen to me. They had another Christmas. Since they had too much fun together, mom was running late dropping them off here before Ian's soccer practice. So, I met them at mom's, Gavin stayed with mom while Ian and I went to soccer. Cailean was home doing yardwork. It was one HOT day. Oh, while Ian was changing at mom's, the rest of us were talking at the table. Pop-pop was going on and on about something and Gavin was sitting on mom's lap. Gavin looked at Pop-pop and said, "Pop-pop, you need to focus." That was classic!!!!!!
Sunday morning was church and Sunday School, then lunch and home to change and off to mom's earlier than normal. My cousin Keith, his wife Jen and 2 1/2 year old son Cameron were coming to spend the night. They are from Long Island and flew down to South Carolina for a few nights, drove to Charlotte for a night and then headed here for a night before flying out of Raleigh to head back home. I was determined to have Cameron like me! LOL I actually got to hold him a few times and play peek-a-boo. He was laughing. But, Ian and Gavin stole the show once again with him. The three were beyond cute together. They were chasing each other around and Cameron was laughing and laughing and laughing! He had a few firsts while he was with us. He sat at a kids table and he had a popsicle!!! :) Great job Cam! They stayed at mom's for the night to spend time with Mimi and Pop-pop. After Ian went to school this morning, Gavin and I went back over to hang out for a little bit and then we led them to the car rental and airport. The boys already miss Cameron!
This afternoon dad booked his ticket to come down to see us May 27-31! I noticed the cheap tickets this morning, so called dad on it. Ian was running around yelling, "Grandpop is coming down!!! We get to go ride gokarts at Frankie's!" That seems to be a ritual every May when Grandpop comes down!
We have a big weekend coming up...IAN TURNS SIX!
