State Fair

Don't forget to click on the photos to enlarge them!

We headed off to the State Fair (just about 15 minutes from our house) Monday after school. Still an amazing event! Soooo much to do and see! Cailean has not been to it in the last few years because usually he is on a hunting trip, but he's not leaving until this weekend. Trying to find a night when we could all go was impossible, so we'll go with mom Wednesday night and see the animals and do all that stuff. Monday night was the rides!

Well, I didn't really enjoy the entire time at the fair. We were walking by a big area that said, "GET YOUR FLU SHOT HERE." Cailean was all about that and I was ticked because I can't stand shots...let alone getting a shot at the FAIR in front of my own kids and everyone around. Not a smart idea, I didn't think. So, I was rude, short and not happy. I won't tell you everything I said! It was a good thing the camera was in my pocket. Cailean had the nerve to actually ask for it. Yea, right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not that good of a shot, but I needed to take a pic of the ferris wheel!!!! You can barely see the boys in the picture.
I always love visiting the UNC TV area because the kids tend to watch shows on this station. Good ole Curious George!!!

Off to the Farmer's Market...they got to pick a few items, get them weighed and received money for selling their goods and then spent the cash in the store!

This was Gavin's and Ben's first "big boy" ride without any grownups! Luke and Ian were together and Ben and Gavin were behind them.

Gavin and Ian buddied up on the swing. Ian said he was about to get sick afterwards!
The boys were excited to meet up with their buddies and hit the rides!

It was a great night at the fair and we're looking forward to heading back with my mom Wednesday night. We only saw about 1/2 the fair, so there is still plenty more to do and see. Stay tuned for more pictures.

Until then...we have a soccer game, Y-Guides tribe meeting, Kingswood fundraising event at Coldstone Creamery all tonight! How will we get all this in? Well, we're all at the game. Then, Ian and Cailean head to the Y-Guides (father/son event) and Gavin and I head to Coldstone.
